I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature (literature focus on nature literature and rhetoric) with a minor in psychology from Linfield college. As a tutor, I specialize in writing (MLA/APA formatting and styles) and I support students in becoming critical thinkers. In my free time, I spend as much time as possible with my strong wife, and I like to read about personal development. I also enjoy exercise, writing, hiking, and family time. Upon retiring from collegiate football because of an injury, I helped create the football training program with Linfield college. I realized my passion for teaching as I helped people learn and blossom into being teachers themselves. When you leave a tutoring session with me, my goal is that you have been challenged to be accountable for your learning, writing, and, ultimately, your thinking. Perfection is an illusion. I want to guide students who have passion, want to face fear, and strive to think outside the box.
