Experience
My education in science and physics led me to become a scientist and an engineer. Later on I changed my work and became an analyst and advisor for people and businesses in the stock market. However, I still have the desire to teach or tutor children and adults. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from the University of Rochester. I then got an MBA in Finance from New York University. I became an engineer with Eastman Kodak and helped them design the Chandra X-Ray orbiting telescope for NASA. I taught and tutored classes in the optical sciences including laser physics. I also once tutored younger employees in the investment firms where I worked. The subjects I have the most experience tutoring include Elementary Math, Algebra, Business, and Finance. I have tutored the standardized test prep Math courses for the SAT. I am athletic and stay active with playing squash, racquetball, tennis, and golf. My varied work experiences have aided me in being a tutor who can approach students from different fields of study. I can show them how to use different pieces of information to come together for a solution to a problem. I can also explain a problem from a scientific angle as well as from the financial viewpoint in cost objectives.
