Experience
I love any opportunity to share the beauty of theoretical physics and mathematics with others. Teaching and tutoring force me to understand my subject matter at a much deeper level, to reexamine aspects I took for granted or never fully understood in the first place. When teaching, I like to find the concepts and lessons behind the individual problem. Physics is a way of thinking and approaching problems. We learn to shape our brains in new, weird, contorted ways that can be quite unpleasant in the beginning but open up a whole new world of possibilities. The lesson in never "just apply this formula here". I can teach high school, undergraduate, and some graduate level subjects for physics. As an undergrad, I focused in astrophysics and cosmology, so I have a solid background in those subjects in addition to my current emphasized subject of Condensed Matter (Quantum/ Statistical Physics/ Solid State). [TECHNICAL ALERT] I researched how to realize non-trivial topological phases in magnetic systems through their bosonic excitations. I have high levels of expertise in scientific programming (Julia language of choice, conversational in Python and C++). I have a solid foundation in the standard Applied Mathematical tools of a theoretical physicist, and I am also comfortable in certain areas of pure (proof-based) mathematics like Analysis and Topology.
