Experience
I started learning German when I was 10, working on it in my time after school. From there, I taught myself Schiller and Goethe languages, as well as Italian. I studied for a year in Vienna at Realgymnasium and completed a fellowship in Bundestag, Germany. While there, I researched for Dagmar Freitag and worked as an interpreter. I taught Italian and German for summer immersion camps, as well as tutored students of all ages on a private basis. I enjoy working with students to improve their language speaking skills for optimal fluency. I work to incorporate a variety of engaging materials that are suited to the individual's learning style, whether my student is a tactile, verbal, and visual learner. I can work with students in German and Italian 1 through 4, as well as prepare people for conversational Italian and German. I believe learning language is valuable to success in one's personal and professional life. I strive to make each session relevant and interesting. In my free time, I have a variety of interests and skills. I love to go scuba diving and practice martial arts. I travel as often as possible. I enjoy dancing, whether I am doing it or attending a performance.
