Experience
Over 10 years of tutoring experiences (references available on request) from my undergraduate throughout medical school. I have tutored a wide variety of students that need comprehensive teaching to students that simply need a person to keep them accountable for their work. I enjoy tutoring because I myself learned the most after-hours with individual care and emphasis on specific areas that troubled me. I recognize that there are many tools out there to help students exceed, and personalized attention is a key component. My primary concern is for the student to do as well as he or she can do, and this often means I spend a lot of time discussing various study skills and plans with both the student and the parents. I make myself available outside of the scheduled tutoring hour, via phone or skype, because I remember how many questions I would have the night before a test! Over the past 10 years, I've tutored 14 students for short and long-term durations. I've helped students get their grades up from D's & F's to B's & A's from halfway in the semester to the end, and I've also helped students develop their long-term study habits. I am applying for medical residency and have more recently completed my Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3 exams. I have also taken the SAT and MCAT.

In my spare time, I enjoy long hikes through Vancouver, WA and exploring nearby cities of Seattle and Portland for their coffee and valuable book stores. I spend a lot of time with my family and close friends and enjoy surrounding myself with genuine people that keep me grounded and motivate me to succeed.
