Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Washington State University, graduated May 2013, Magna Cum Laude (3.76 cumulative GPA). I am also currently enrolled in a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program at Full Sail University, expected graduation April 2015.
Experience
I had teaching assistant experience for one semester in my undergraduate coursework for an Intro to Psychology course, and in the 7th grade I was a TA for a 6th grade math class. I have also helped my three younger brothers with their homework in various subjects on many occasions. SAT scores (2007) -- Critical Reading: 670, Math: 530, Writing: 660, Multiple Choice: 70, Essay: 07. I want to be a tutor because I love helping people learn. I strongly believe that knowledge is meant to be shared, and that the more educated the general population is, the better off the world is for it. I also enjoy teaching people because it sharpens my own skills, refreshing my knowledge of the material being covered. Most of my upper-level undergraduate coursework was in psychology and the social sciences, all of which were very writing-intensive. Also, as I am currently working towards my MFA in Creative Writing, my writing, reading, editing, and overall English skills are very sharp. Regarding my interest in tutoring math, although my SAT scores in math were fairly average, I do have a solid grasp on math up through the Algebra/Geometry level, and is another subject I am passionate about. Regarding my work history, I spent one year working as a Youth Care Specialist, so I have much experience working with younger individuals. In my pre-teen and teenage years, I babysat my younger brothers and their friends, so it is safe to say I have a lot of experience working with kids. I also have 8 years of customer service experience, which has made me very confident in working with people in general.

My interests include reading, writing fiction, writing and playing music (I play guitar, bass, piano, and I sing), hiking, cycling, running, camping, keeping an impeccably clean house, and I am also an avid movie-goer. I also spend a lot of time with my family, especially my three younger brothers.
